ARMIN FUCHS was born in 1960 in Nürnberg He was trained as pianist by Erich Appel and Ame Torger, studied composition with Bertold Hummel and accompaniment of Lieder with Norman Shetler and participated master courses by Pavel Gililov, Yong Uk Kim and Rudolf Metzmacher.

He has performed in chamber music (Pro Arte Quartet, Hába Quartet, Michael Svoboda), as accompanist for Lieder (Sigune von Osten, Horst Laubenthal, Karen Leonie Leiber) and as soloist interpreting contemporary music:
International Festival for New Music, Rom; Concerts Ville de Genève, Biennale Sound Ways St. Petersburg, Festival Passage Warschau, Aspekte Festival Salzburg, South Bohemia Music Festival CFR, Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt, Münchner Opernfestspiele and Musikbiennale, Frankfurt Feste etc.

Pianist, comoser and lead role in the movie epos „Die zweite Heimat“ by Edgar Reitz.

Armin Fuchs repeatedly played „Vexations“ by Eric Satie in 28 hours nonstop in cooperation with the Socierätstheater, Dresden and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hannover. The event was recorded by a research program of Reinhard Kopiez.

Numerous CD- and broadcasting productions.

Member of faculty for contemporary piano music and interpretation of Lieder at the Hochschule für Musik, Würzburg.

He teaches at the VOICE-INSTITUT for Functional Voice Pedagogy.

Extensive activity as composer.
